Join Lavender Fields at Warrington Manor on Saturday, June 11, 2016 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for the Delmarva Lavender Festival, one of the three farm and garden venues on the Cape Farm and Garden Tour. We have teamed up with Black Hog Farmstead and Mill Pond Garden to provide you with a lovely day of garden touring. The three sites are within a six mile circle, about a ten minute drive from each other. The event will be held rain or shine.
These venues are not your usual garden tour. Each has a special mission, and each has multiple garden areas that enrich the community. All are practicing relevance and sustainability.
Tickets are $20 and can be purchased in advance at the Cape Farm and Garden Tour website. Tickets may also be purchased on the day of the tour at each participating farm and garden, though we encourage you to purchase your tickets early. In order ensure a relaxed visit to each site, the number of tickets is limited.
Activities at Lavender Fields at Warrington Manor include seeing how your favorite Soap Fairy products are hand-crafted, demonstrations on how to grow & harvest lavender, learning how to design heirloom lavender-inspired sachets, and a lavender wreath making instruction by members of the Milton Garden Club. Farm to table lunch is available to purchase throughout the day.
In the afternoon an orientation will be given for walking the superior, well-landscaped, 11-circuit meditation labyrinth, hand laid by co-owner Sharon Harris. A large meadow garden with lush wildflowers and an outstanding Dahlia garden will complete your experience.
Capping off the weekend on Sunday, June 12, Lavender Fields at Warrington Manor will sponsor two high teas at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m.
Cost is $30 per person and reservations are required. There are limited seats available. For more information, and to make reservations, please email us, or call 302-684-1514.
For more information about all the activities at each of the venues, as well as driving directions, please see the Cape Farm and Garden Tour website.
