Visit The Farm

Welcome! Our family farm is a private residence, graciously opened to the public on a limited schedule. There are no pets, no smoking, no speeding and no littering allowed – no exceptions.

All guests who wish to walk the grounds must check in at The Cottage Store. Be accountable for your actions and energy, and please leave our home as you found it.

Our grounds are free to take a walk through on most days from 10-4, contingent on farm events and staffing. Some uses of the farm, like photo shoots, landscape painting, and more, are subject to a fee.

We welcome all amateur photographers to snap images as they explore our grounds. Sweet memories are made here and seeing the photos you take during your time in the fields means the world to us. Please tag us if you post on social media!

However, as stewards of the farm (who live on site) we value maintaining a peaceful environment for all. Professional, posed photography sessions are subject to a small site fee; this includes but is not limited to families, maternity, headshots, and engagement sessions. This cost allows us to manage the number of photographers on the farm and guarantees that everyone (photographers, clients, and our guests) has the best experience.

Photography sessions can be during our normal business hours at a rate of $50 per hour, or outside of 10-4pm at a rate of $75 per hour with a 2 hour minimum. Please email us at team@lavenderfieldsde.com to reserve your date.

Photographers found on site without prior authorization will be asked to leave immediately and will be held responsible for the fees listed above.

Groups larger than 10 require advanced booking.

All school groups and field trips must secure permission and advanced booking to visit the farm.

Outside food is strictly prohibited.

Please call The Cottage Store at (302) 684.1514 to discuss events, bookings and tours.
